"Just a Matter of Time" is an album by American vocalist Marlena Shaw recorded in 1976 and released on the Blue Note label. The song "Be For Real" was covered by Leonard Cohen on his 1992 album "The Future".

This is the group that features the falsetto Damon Harris. As a member of the Temptations from 1971-75, Harris' airy yet earthy falsetto powered such classics including "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" and the drug epic "Hurry Tomorrow." After his stint with the group, Harris rejoined his childhood group. The production here is reminiscent of his then-W.M.O.T. labelmates Blue Magic, and is produced by Bobby Eli. Impact finds Harris' vocals getting warmer gives his fans a chance to hear him in a fresher context. This group also had a raspy vocalist reminiscent of David Ruffin, who provided a good juxtaposition to Harris.

José Padilla is a Spanish disc jockey and producer of ambient music, best known for his work as DJ in the Café del Mar bar on the island of Ibiza. Born in Barcelona, Padilla moved to Ibiza in 1975, taking up the DJ residency at Café del Mar in 1991. In 1994, he compiled the first Cafe del Mar album for the React label. The series is now in its 22nd volume and has spun off several related compilations, as well as leading to the creation of the bar's own eponymous label. A world renowned specialist in the music of Sergei Prokofiev, Valery Gergiev and his Mariinsky Orchestra and opera company have performed all of the composer's symphonies, concerti and operas on numerous occasions, both in St. Petersburg and on tour. This new video of Prokofiev's opera The Gambler, recorded and filmed in high-resolution at the historic Mariinsky Theatre in 2010, stars celebrated Russian tenor Vladimir Galuzin and bass Sergei Aleksashkin. Premiered in 1929 at the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie, Brussels, the opera was originally conceived for first performance at the Mariinsky Theatre, but it was postponed due to the Revolution in 1917. On this filmed version, Georgian director Temur Chkheidze (who directed the opera with critical success at the Metropolitan Opera in 2001) gives a fresh look to Prokofiev's first opera. The Gambler is a four-act opera that displays the dramatic highs and lows involved in the game of chance. All of the characters fall victim to the temptation of gambling, each one consumed by the obsession and greed that drives them.

This is Gordon's first ever live album and was recorded at Oxford Polytechnic on 9th March 1979,by the RAK Mobile. The internationally acclaimed Australian saxophonist, Amy Dickson, releases her new album ‘Catch Me If You Can’ featuring contemporary classical music for saxophone & orchestra by film composer legend John Williams, American composer Michael Kamen, and Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits). On this album, Amy performs alongside the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

The Serbian violinist Nemanja Radulovic has attempted to broaden the appeal of classical music through his charismatic image and innovative programming concepts. He has founded two ensembles of his own to aid in the realization of his ideas. Radulovic was born in Nis, Serbia, then part of Yugoslavia, on October 18, 1985. He took up the violin in 1992, and by 1996 he had won a Belgrade Youth Award. The following year he won the Talent 1997 prize from Serbia's Ministry of Education, and that was followed by a series of youth awards around Eastern Europe and in France. Radulovic enrolled at age 13 at the Hochscule für Musik Saar in Germany, returned to Serbia for further study at the University of the Arts in Belgrade, and moved to Paris in 2000 for more work at the Conservatoire Nationale in Paris. Radulovic has also taken master classes with Yehudi Menuhin, among others. He won the top prize at the Joseph Joachim International Competition in Germany in 2003, and he was named Discovery of the Year at France's Victoires awards in 2005.

"The wonderful discoveries that I have made during my research on neglected repertoire often make me wonder why it is that so much beautiful Polish music has fallen into oblivion" - thus writes Acte Préalable (AP) impresario Jan Jarnicki in his customary preamble for the CD booklet. Music-lovers who have bought previous AP discs will have asked themselves the same question - how to account rationally for the big repertoire gap between Chopin and Szymanowski, and again between Szymanowski and Penderecki/Górecki. The names capable of filling those holes are legion, a fact to which many previous AP recordings are persuasive testimony.

Les Explorateurs is a chamber ensemble based around pianist Joanna Ławrynowicz, with guest musicians coming in according to the requirements of works at hand. Ławrynowicz has recorded over thirty CDs for Acte Préalable (AP) spanning more than a decade, and was apparently the first Pole to record the complete works of Chopin - also for AP. For these two new releases she and cellist Łukasz Tudzierz combine in genial, committed performances to reveal to the world another batch of forgotten gems from seriously neglected composers. The Dobrzyński disc in particular is outstanding in every respect - perhaps AP's finest to date.

Blues Hall of Fame inductee Walter Davis was a prolific and innovative artist who played an influential role in the creation of the pre-war Blues scene. On The Walter Davis Project a diverse collection of Blues Legends pay tribute to the man and his music, including Billy Boy Arnold, Jimmy McCracklin, Charlie Musselwhite, Christian Rannenberg and Keith Dunn, and Henry Townsend with Bob Corritore. The 17 track collection of Walter Davis' compositions include R&B Legend Jimmy McCracklin's final recordings as well as an interview with Mr. McCracklin, who was taught piano as a child by Walter Davis, by producer Christian Rannenberg, plus 2 tracks from Charlie Musselwhite and an unreleased track from 2002 by Henry Townsend with Living Blues Award winner Bob Corritore. 2012 Blues Hall of Fame member Billy Boy Arnold contributes 9 tracks. The Walter Davis Project album will be treasured by both Blues music lovers and collectors.
